One-Way Analysis of Variance   ANOVA1 – N8

Exercise:
Healthy subjects were randomly allocated into 3 groups, and dietary therapy was performed with 3 different levels of fat containing diets (35%, 30%, and 25% dietary fat) for a certain period. After the dietary therapy, serum cholesterol levels were measured. The results are shown below.

1) Analyze whether there are statistically significant differences among groups.
2) When there are significant differences, state which groups have the significant differences.

 Group 1 (35%): 116, 114, 107, 112, 111, 100, 118, 118, 113, 112 mg/dl
 Group 2 (30%): 98, 100, 102, 100, 97, 103, 99, 104, 95, 97 mg/dl
 Group 3 (25%): 90, 100, 97, 89, 91, 93, 94, 91, 98, 95 mg/dl

Exercise:
The multiple comparison is applied when target groups are compared with the control group. The difference is shown below when the data described above are used. Please note that group names are changed.

 Control (35%): 116, 114, 107, 112, 111, 100, 118, 118, 113, 112 mg/dl
 Group 1 (30%): 98, 100, 102, 100, 97, 103, 99, 104, 95, 97 mg/dl
 Group 2 (25%): 90, 100, 97, 89, 91, 93, 94, 91, 98, 95 mg/dl
